the annual chicago chef week, sister to chicago’s larger restaurant week, returns April 17 — 22nd, and tesori is proud to be participating next to some of chicago’s top restaurants. like restaurant week, chef week offers affordable, prix fixe menus during lunch ($22) and dinner ($44) celebrating chicago’s dynamic culinary scene.
an italian restaurant inspired by Van Gogh and the Art Institute
being in the heart of the chicago cultural mile next to some of the world’s best cultural institutions means we constantly get inspired by our neighbors. for this menu, we took inspiration from the Art Institute and the popular Van Gogh “The Bedrooms” exhibit to create a special Van Gogh tribute prix fixe lunch menu inspired by three select Van Gogh masterpieces — a seasonal spring salad mimics The Poet’s Garden, while a house-made, pillowy ravioli dish with contrasting colors of red beets and a gorgonzola sauce honors The Bedroom. finish off lunch italian-style with a cheese and fruit platter for the Grapes, Lemons, Pears, and Apples, then stick around for aperitivo with craft cocktails and Italian wine in our lounge. all pieces are currently on display at the Art Institute and each tells a different story about Van Gogh’s journey. learn more about the exhibit and work here.
